International Travelers' Consultation and Immunization Program

The Rutgers Health International Travelers' Consultation and Immunization program is a comprehensive service for people planning to travel abroad. Our board-certified infectious disease physicians treat adults and children, and work with information and weekly updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

When visiting our program, a physician will discuss your complete itinerary. We place a strong emphasis on preventing infections that may be present in developing and/or exotic countries. Our program can provide required and recommended immunizations for such conditions as:

  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Malaria
  • Rabies
  • Yellow fever

We will also provide an International Certificate of Vaccination for your trip.

Please Note: Our Travel Program does not participate with any private insurance carriers. We expect full payment at time of visit. A detailed receipt is available, which you may submit to your health insurer for possible reimbursement.

Physicians with our program are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in clinical research and in teaching about all aspects of travel and immunization medicine. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.

If you will be traveling, for business or pleasure, help ensure a safe trip. Make an appointment with the Rutgers Health International Travelers’ Consultation and Immunization program and please allow enough lead time for vaccinations before your departure.
