Neurosurgery

Rutgers Health Neurosurgery offers a full range of brain and spinal care. We provide comprehensive, compassionate care to patients with life-changing technology, the latest surgical techniques, and the most thorough treatments.

Our doctors are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School or Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Both are part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our physicians are active in research and in teaching about all aspects of neurosurgery, and each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.

Our practice specializes in prevention, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, critical care, and rehabilitation for disorders of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems. We also provide treatment for conditions, activities, and pain that affect the nervous system and its vascular supply.

We treat adults and children who have disorders of the:

  • Brain, meninges (the three membranes covering the brain and spinal cord), skull, and their blood supply, including the extracranial carotid and vertebral arteries
  • Cranial and spinal nerves
  • Pituitary gland
  • Spinal cord and vertebral column

We also specialize in treating disorders that may respond best to spinal fusion or similar procedures.
