If you are experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath following possible exposure to COVID-19, seek medical care immediately. Remember to call ahead and tell the health care provider’s office about your recent travel, symptoms, and concerns. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911.
At Rutgers Health, the health and safety of our patients, staff, and their families is our top priority. To minimize the spread of COVID-19 infections, precautionary measures have been put in place at our health care facilities. Please note that these measures may impact your regularly scheduled appointments.
How We’re Keeping Our Communities Safe
Doctor’s Office Center (DOC)
Patients will be pre-screened over the phone prior to an in-person appointment and again upon arrival at the lobby of the DOC and other buildings on the University Hospital campus. Video visits with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and University Hospital doctors as an alternative to office visits are now available. Learn more.
Clinical Academic Building (CAB)
Patients will be pre-screened for symptoms of COVID-19, or any known exposure to the virus prior to an in-person appointment. Patients will be screened again for any symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival to our clinical sites.
