    • More than 250 principal investigators are focused on the biology of the central nervous system and its function/dysfunction, developing treatments for disorders using novel neuroscience tools.

    • Cutting-edge, molecularly focused basic research in infectious disease, cancer, and neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders including AIDS, influenza, leukemia/lymphoma, autism, and metabolic disease.

    • Fostering innovative, multidisciplinary science related to the use and outcomes of therapeutics and diagnostics in large populations.

    • Dedicated to the study of macro-level bioethical dilemmas: those that arise outside the clinical encounter, at the level of the population, the state, the country, or the globe. 

    • Supports basic and clinical research in environmental and occupational chemical exposure and fosters programs in environmental health education and public policy.

    • Pursuing novel approaches to detect, treat and prevent a wide range of current and emerging diseases caused by infectious agents and harmful inflammation.

    • Institute for Nicotine & Tobacco Studies (INTS) is a leading tobacco-focused research center that seeks to reduce and ultimately eliminate tobacco-related morbidity and mortality in New Jersey, the nation, and around the world.
