The leadership team is responsible for executing the vision for Rutgers Health across functional units, focusing on academic excellence, exceptional clinical care, building a supportive and inclusive environment for all, and cutting-edge health research.
The Way Forward
Our aim for the next five years is clear: to realize our collective vision of a multidisciplinary, multidimensional, and multifaceted organization in which the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.
History in the Making
In July 2013, Rutgers integrated with most of the units of the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, thereby establishing Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences and positioning Rutgers as one of the country’s largest academic institutions to provide health sciences education, research, and clinical service and care. This transformational growth stayed strong with the 2018 clinical affiliation between Rutgers and RWJBarnabas Health.
Moving into the future as Rutgers Health, we are continuing to build a world-class academic health system dedicated to life-changing research, clinical training of tomorrow’s workforce, and quality health care for all.
