Fend Off the Flu

October 18, 2021

strom-gracias-flu-shot-2021

This year, getting your flu shot is even more important as we continue the fight against COVID-19. It may take two weeks after your shot to develop the protective antibodies, so don’t delay and get your shot today!

Flu vaccines won’t prevent COVID-19, but they will avoid confusion between the two, reduce the burden of flu illnesses and hospitalizations on the health care system, and conserve resources for the care of people with COVID-19.

Please take advantage of the many opportunities to get your flu shot. They are already available at local pharmacies and through primary care providers. Please visit the State of New Jersey's flu webpage to find a vaccine provider near you. Additionally, Rutgers will offer free flu vaccines to faculty, staff, and students with a valid Rutgers ID. Information on vaccine clinic dates and locations can be found at the following Health offices:

Wishing you good health.
