Join Us for Rutgers Day this Saturday
April 21, 2025
Dear Rutgers Health community,
Join us this Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Rutgers Day—the university’s signature event that brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and friends for a celebration of everything Rutgers.
Held across the Busch Campus in Piscataway and the College Avenue and Cook/Douglass campuses in New Brunswick, Rutgers Day offers hundreds of free programs, performances, exhibits, and activities for all ages.
Be sure to stop by the Rutgers Health Village on Busch Campus, where we’re showcasing the incredible work we do at Rutgers Health to improve the health and well-being of our communities across New Jersey.
Here are just a few Rutgers Health highlights you’ll find at the Health Village:
- Perform “Jell-O brain surgery” and learn about neuroscience with our Robert Wood Johnson Medical School students and faculty.
- Bring your favorite stuffed animal for a wellness “checkup” at the popular Teddy Bear Clinic hosted by future healthcare professionals.
- Discover how medications are made with an interactive compounding lab from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy.
- Explore medical science with hands-on experiments, including DNA extraction demos and reflex testing.
- Learn how Rutgers Health is fighting cancer, heart disease, and health disparities—with resources, screenings, and family-friendly activities.
While you’re there, be sure to explore more of what Rutgers Day has to offer:
- Visit the Petting Zoo and catch animal handling shows at Ag Field Day on the Cook Campus—a family favorite.
- Attend the Scarlet and White Spring football game at the stadium at 2 p.m. on the Busch Campus.
- Take part in the New Jersey Folk Festival, a Rutgers tradition, near Passion Puddle on the Cook Campus.
Visit rutgersday.rutgers.edu to explore the full schedule, find maps, and check out sample itineraries for the day.
Thank you to everyone across Rutgers Health who helped organize and staff this year’s exhibits. Your energy and commitment bring our mission to life and show the public the power of what we do together.
We look forward to a fantastic day, and hope to see you there!
