In Recognition of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

Dear Members of the RBHS Community, 

Tomorrow will mark 20 years since the attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania shocked and devastated the world. Though some of the young men and women among us today are too young to remember, for many of us, those moments are forever imprinted in our memory: where we were, what we were doing, and the fear and sadness we felt.

The Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute’s (EOHSI) World Trade Center Health Program has provided treatment and health monitoring services to thousands of those brave responders since 2003. To memorialize the thousands of lives lost as a result of that day, and honor the thousands more who rushed to help, EOHSI is hosting the responders for a day of healing today. 20 Years of Healing Our 9/11 Heroes will feature a welcome from President Holloway, speeches from clinic staff and members, and wellness and commemoration activities. Rutgers community members are invited to participate by watching a livestream of the morning’s remarks which will begin at 9:30 a.m. 

Please join me in marking this solemn anniversary by honoring the resilience of these individuals and recognizing those that were lost.
