In Recognition of 9/11

Dear Members of the RBHS and Rutgers–New Brunswick Communities,

Today, on the 19th anniversary of the September 11th attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, we remember the lives lost and the enduring impact these tragedies have had on each of us individually and as a nation.

At Rutgers, the morning of September 11, 2001, was one that was profoundly felt. Our proximity to these sites left our community reeling with the loss of many members of our Rutgers family, who are never forgotten.

For many of us, the world was changed forever that day and the anniversary of those events remain a poignant reminder, especially amidst these challenging times, of the importance of exhibiting kindness, compassion, and respect for one another.

Although we may not be able to gather at memorial services in person, we encourage you to visit the Rutgers living memorial website as you take a moment to reflect and remember on this solemn day.
