Repopulating RBHS - Draft Plan for Review and Feedback

Dear Members of the RBHS Community:

Since the historic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic altered our Spring Semester, we have anticipated a day when we can return to our normal routines as an academic health center.  While it is premature to think about simply returning to the old routines, given the abatement of the severity of the pandemic across New Jersey, we are in a position to plan and implement the repopulation of the RBHS campuses.  By taking important precautions, we can establish this “new normal” mode of operations as we continue to monitor and assess the safety and security as it develops.

Over the past several weeks, we have worked extensively with our schools, centers, and institutes, central support services, and consulted with state and federal health agencies to develop a plan for RBHS operations in this initial phase of repopulating the University.  In conjunction with the guidance developed in the Returning to Rutgers and Returning to Research documents, the Repopulating RBHS document will provide additional detail on operations specific to the delivery of health professions education, biomedical and clinical research, and patient care. 

A draft version of the Repopulating RBHS – Operating Plan for Summer/Fall 2020 is available at this link with a netid log in.  We invite you to review the report and submit comments and feedback on the plan to emailRBHS@RBHS.rutgers.edu by Monday, July 6, 2020.

We look forward to your comments and continued collaboration as we navigate this next phase in our repopulation of our campuses as we continue to fulfill our missions and serve our students, patients, and communities.
