Repopulating RBHS: Summer/Fall Operating Plan

Dear Members of the RBHS Community:

Last month, I presented our community with a draft version of our Repopulating RBHS Summer/Fall Operating Plan. The attention and insightful comments and suggestions that we received illustrate the care and responsibility you dedicate to your work every day, and I am grateful to lead such an engaged and thoughtful community.

The draft plan was developed in conjunction with our schools, centers, and institutes, central support services, with state and federal health agencies, and in alignment with the guidance developed in the Returning to Rutgers (PDF) and Returning to Research (PDF) documents. It has since been enhanced by many of our community members' suggestions and is now available in its final-yet-adaptable form by visiting the RBHS status webpage.

The RBHS operating plan is by intention flexible to allow us to meet circumstances as they evolve and is designed to complement universitywide planning. The goal of the plan is to provide guidance to RBHS faculty, staff, and students and highlight the strategic next steps critical to a successful transition to Academic Year 2021. Further calibration of this operating plan may be needed as we address the needs of our schools, research institutes and centers, clinical units, patients, students, and community constituencies.

I look forward to working with you as we navigate this next phase of recovery and continue our work to deliver life-changing discoveries and treatments that benefit our New Jersey community and beyond.
