Search Committee for the Rutgers School of Nursing Dean

Dear Rutgers Health colleagues,

In anticipation of Dean Linda Flynn’s recently announced plan for retirement, we must proceed with a national search for her replacement to lead the Rutgers School of Nursing (RSON) into a new phase of continued growth and success. I am pleased to announce that I have empaneled a search committee with the input of the RSON community and we will now officially launch the search process for the new Dean.

As you know, RSON is the largest and most comprehensive nursing school in New Jersey. Thanks to the leadership of Dean Flynn and the continued dedication of the faculty, staff, and students, the school is a national leader in education, scholarship, research, and clinical care. Accordingly, US News and World Report continues to recognize and rank RSON’s programs among the best in the country.

Dean Cecile Feldman of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine has graciously agreed to chair the search committee for the new dean. We have retained the executive search firm of Spencer Stuart to facilitate the process. In addition, Dean Feldman will be joined by a committee of our distinguished colleagues (listed below) to identify the best candidate to fill this important position. Our goal is to recruit the most qualified candidate with an unwavering commitment to RSON’s mission: to transform nursing and health care, advance excellence in nursing science and education, contribute to clinical excellence, and optimize health and health equity.
