Thanksgiving Message from Chancellor Strom
November 22, 2023
Dear Rutgers Health community,
As we prepare to gather with loved ones to celebrate the season of gratitude, I find myself reflecting on the immense privilege it is to serve as Chancellor of this exceptional institution. I am thankful for the incredible faculty, dedicated staff, and outstanding students who make up Rutgers Health.
This holiday, we can take a moment to look back at 2023, which marks a significant milestone in our collective journey—the ten-year anniversary of our founding. We are thankful for your contribution to shaping our shared history, and to our rise in national prominence as we make progress to become one of the best academic health centers in the country. Our continued success on this path depends on the exemplary work of our devoted employees and passionate learners.
I am especially grateful for the collaboration, support, and camaraderie that define Rutgers Health. Your unwavering commitment to tackling complex health issues across schools and disciplines exemplifies the spirit of an academic health center. This was perhaps most clearly illustrated by our response to the Covid-19 pandemic. These efforts have a profound impact on the health and wellbeing of our communities and I feel privileged to work alongside you.
Thank you for all that you do to create a healthier future for all. Wishing you a joyous and healthy Thanksgiving.
With sincere appreciation,
Brian L. Strom, MD, MPH
Chancellor, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences
Executive Vice President for Health Affairs
