You Can Make a Difference For Our Students

Dear Colleagues,

As we adjust to a return to campus this September, I want to thank you all for what you have done to continue serving our students during this challenging time. Over the last year and a half, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) has been on the front lines, using the full power of science, innovation, and determination to help make the world well again. While it hasn’t been easy, our community has stepped forward when the state, the nation, and the world needed it most. 

Our students are no strangers to a challenge—they take on large course loads, clinical or professional practice, part-time jobs, and much more. In normal years, many students request emergency assistance for tuition, books, and necessities like food and toiletries when they face emergencies like the loss of a parent or a job. Unfortunately, over the last year and a half, the effects of the pandemic have increased the number of requests we receive from our talented students.

I hope you’ll consider making a difference for students experiencing challenges by supporting the RBHS Student Emergency Fund.

Many of our students exhaust all other options before reaching out to us for support. With your gift today, you can promise RBHS students the resources they need for successful academic futures, no matter their financial circumstances. Public universities like ours have a unique responsibility to uplift community health.
