This September, Rutgers Health observes Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, break down stigma, and foster a culture of care and connection for our faculty, staff, learners, and healthcare community.

On September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, join us for a special Graduate Medical Education Grand Rounds with speakers Dr. Michael Myers, expert in suicide in health professionals from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Carla Fine, author of “No Time to Say Goodbye”, who experienced the loss of her spouse through suicide. In this presentation, they will share the journey and challenges felt by people who are “left behind” after a loved one, friend or colleague dies by suicide.

Visit the Suicide Prevention Month Events Calendar (NetID required) for the full schedule of events, including workshops, discussions, and resource-sharing opportunities.

Your engagement can help foster a safer, more supportive environment for all members of Rutgers Health.
