The Office of Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion will host the workshop, Understanding and Addressing Implicit Bias and "Othering," presented by Maria Soto-Greene and James Hill of New Jersey Medical School.

Implicit bias refers to the unconscious attitudes, thoughts, or feelings which may be contradictory or inconsistent with an individual's conscious beliefs. Despite the unconscious nature of implicit bias, there is evidence that it affects healthcare and workplace outcomes.
