Announcing the Joy at Work Mini-Grant Program

March 20, 2024

Rutgers Health Community,

We are pleased to offer a second cycle of mini-grants! We are seeking applications for projects that promote a culture of well-being in Rutgers Health schools, departments, divisions, and/or work teams.

Looking for ideas to foster well-being in the workplace? Consider projects where:

  • Community and collegiality flourish and peers support each other day-to-day
  • Team members work respectfully and supportively together
  • People get to know each other as people rather than simply by their job description
  • Leaders support such a culture in their decision-making
  • People feel that their values are “in sync” with the values of the organization
  • People feel “heard” when they express concerns or suggestions
  • People feel that they belong

You may also get ideas by attending our Inaugural Joy at Work Mini-Grant Symposium, where current (2023-2024) grantees will share their accomplishments. This virtual event will be available by zoom, March 21, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Come see what current grantees have done to foster well-being at work! Please register at: https://rutgers.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwqfu-srT4pE9RNkvogn1fRKoySDLGFB5k7.

Who can apply?

  • Rutgers Health faculty and staff are eligible to apply
  • The work environment for the project can include faculty, staff, team members and/or learners. Team-based and interprofessional activities are encouraged.
  • The work environment can be clinical, academic, research, administrative

Funding

  • Grants from $500 to $1,500 will be awarded

When?

  • The deadline for application is April 5, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Awardees will be notified by May 10, 2024
  • Projects should be completed between July 2024-March 2025

How?

  • Please see the REDCap application on the Rutgers Health Professional Well-being Website.

Put on your creative hats to suggest ways to promote well-being in your work environment!
