Integration Update: March 2026

Dear medical school communities,

As we move toward integration of our two medical schools and LCME accreditation, our unified brand is taking shape. We are thrilled to share that the work to design the future Rutgers School of Medicine website has officially begun. This isn't just a technical project; it is a historic opportunity to define our new truth and craft a new narrative: that the future of medical education demands both scale and soul.

This website will be our primary tool for recruiting the next generation of physicians and for introducing Rutgers School of Medicine—telling a clear, compelling story rooted in our combined legacies. Our new digital home is a chance to communicate clearly about why Rutgers School of Medicine is truly special.

By having a unified web space, we can showcase how our two historic campuses combine forces. Ultimately, it will reflect who we are: a school dedicated to excellence and an ambitious integration that unlocks new possibilities.

The Path Forward

Rutgers Communications and Marketing (R-Comm) is leading the website project, which will be designed using the Rutgers Core Component Library (RCCL), the university’s official web design system.

Work begins this spring and will evolve over the next 18 months. We are aiming to launch in Summer 2027, coinciding with our anticipated accreditation. To guide this massive effort, an Advisory Committee, a Working Group, and a unified content governance committee—comprised of representatives from both NJMS and RWJMS—have been established to ensure our success. These groups will also help establish content priorities and guide decisions for the new site to ensure alignment with our institutional goals and audience needs.

We Need You!

The success of this project depends on the brilliance and dedication of every member of our community. Over the coming months, various teams and departments will be asked to:

Review and evaluate content on our current websites.
Provide vital information and feedback to help inform the website development.
Assist with tasks that will help us tell a carefully curated story of our combined legacies.
You may also notice photoshoots taking place in our spaces as teams capture images to bring the new website to life.

We want to extend a massive thank you in advance to everyone who will be involved. Your expertise is what will make this the most impactful recruitment and brand-facing tool a reality.
